2011 Weighoff

The 2011 weighoff will be held in Ronan, Montana on Sept. 24, 2011. Location is to be west and adjacent to Highway 93 at the Ronan vistors center which is adjacent and south of Community Bank. This is a GPC premium level site with all Great Pumpkin Commonwealth rules to apply. All entries must be on site by 10 AM with the weighoff to be at noon. Each contestant will be allowed two entries in each catergory. Long gourd, squash, tomato, watermelon, field pumpkin and giant pumpkin. There will be an 18 and under event. Entry fee is to be $10/entry for Big Sky Pumpkin Grower members and $25/entry fee for non members. Membership is available for $25/year. Contestant must be the grower and be in attendance with no exceptions. There will be three judges on site.

We hope that you will attend the Ronan Harvest Festival and see the giants. There will be a large number of vendors as well.

Big Sky Giant Pumpkin Growers

Big Sky Giant Pumpkin Growers 2010 weighoff will be held at the farmers market in Hamilton, Montana on September 18, 2010. Pumpkins should be on site at 8:00 to 9:00 AM with the weighoff to begin at 10:00 AM. There is a $5 entry fee.

This is a Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) official site for 2010. All GPC rules will be applicable. Plagues will be given to top three pumpkins. There will be a youth division for those 18 and under.
